Many of my clients already have a cleaner. Cleaning and organizing solve different problems.

Cleaners maintain cleanliness by resetting surfaces. Organizing focuses on decision making, reducing volume, and creating systems so your home is easier to maintain. If cleaning never feels caught up, it is usually a systems issue, not an effort issue. Organizing helps make cleaning more effective and longer lasting.

Yes. Many of my clients are neurodivergent or struggle with traditional organizing approaches.

ADHD can impact planning, memory, task initiation, and follow through. My approach focuses on external structure, visual cues, and reducing decision fatigue. The goal is not perfection, but systems that work with your brain and your energy.

Feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed is extremely common, and you are not alone.

My work is completely judgment free. Homes are lived in spaces, not showrooms. Emotional reactions are normal during organizing sessions, and they are handled with care, patience, and respect

I work with a wide range of spaces, including kitchens, bedrooms, closets, playrooms, home offices, basements, and storage areas. I also support clients through life transitions such as downsizing, moves, and changes in family needs. Each project is tailored to how you actually use the space.

Yes. In addition to in person sessions, I offer virtual organizing support, coaching, and ADHD friendly digital tools such as AM and PM checklists and printables.

These tools are designed to reduce decision fatigue, support memory, and make daily care tasks more manageable, especially for neurodivergent brains.

We work with busy individuals and families across southern Maine who feel overwhelmed by clutter or daily home care. Many of my clients are parents, caregivers, or neurodivergent adults who want their homes to feel more supportive and functional without pressure or judgment.

Pricing depends on the size of the project, the type of space, and whether the session is in person or virtual. Most organizing projects are booked in multi hour sessions to allow for meaningful progress and system building.

I am transparent about pricing and expectations, and there are no surprise fees. Organizing is an investment in reducing daily stress and saving time long term.

No. Please do not declutter ahead of time.

Part of my role is helping you make decisions in a structured, supportive way. Decluttering beforehand often increases stress and decision fatigue. We will sort, evaluate, and reset the space together using a clear system.

Yes. Your Functional Space provides in person professional home organizing services throughout southern Maine and surrounding areas. I also offer virtual organizing and coaching options for clients elsewhere in country.

My work focuses on creating practical, judgment free systems that support real daily life, especially for busy families, parents, and neurodivergent adults.

I am based in Maine and primarily serve southern Maine, including Biddeford, Saco, York, Kennebunk,  Scarborough, Portland, and nearby communities. If you are outside this area, virtual organizing or coaching may still be a great fit.

If you are unsure whether your location is within my service area, I am happy to discuss options.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and judgment free. I focus on creating systems that work for real life, not perfection. Organizing is not about making your home look a certain way. It is about reducing friction, supporting daily routines, and making your space easier to live in.

No. You are always in control of what stays and what goes.

I help guide decisions by focusing on function, space constraints, and your goals for the room. There is no pressure, no judgment, and no requirement to part with anything you are not ready to release.
